Recipe Name: Peanut Butter Cookies

Story: This is a handwritten recipe found in Grandma / Grandpa Whittier's old documents.

Ingredients: 

• 1 1/2 cup flour
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1 cup brown(?) sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 2 cup chopped coconut
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 c shortening
• 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

Directions: 

1. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. Cream(?) shortening and peanut butter, add sugar, beat and add egg and flour back(?)
3. Add coconut and mix well.
4. Add dry ingredients last.
5. Drop by spoon and flatten slightly with fork.
6. If white sugar, add one tsp molasses.
